Keeping track of substances and equipment in a laboratory is not always an easy task, especially when multiple people have access to them, yet there are various tools that can help you simplify this task.
Lab Inventory is one of these programs, providing you with the possibility to manage large inventories fast, as well as to export item lists and share them online when needed.
A web-based interface
The software comes with a web interface, which allows you to take advantage of its capabilities in any browser installed on your computer. However, it does not save data in the cloud, and it does not require an internet connection to function.
The tool allows you to export your inventory in order to transfer it to a different computer, and you can also use it to import existing Excel based inventory to get started fast.
Track various items
With the help of this application, you can follow a large number of laboratory items, including reagents, instruments, lab equipment, and disposables. It is also suitable to keep an eye on purchases, orders, and catalogs.
For each of the tracked items, your can include a description and a catalog number, along with the vendor name, quantity, location, and regulations that apply to it. You can organize items into categories, set notes and notifications for them, and attach documents and images to entries.
Manage multiple labs at once
You can take advantage of this program’s capabilities to manage multiple laboratories at once, and you can also view statistics on each of them. Moreover, you can include users and vendors in your statistics, for a better understanding of how substances and equipment are being used.
You can add/remove laboratories from the Administration tab, where you can also manage all of the defined categories with only a few mouse clicks. Moreover, the program allows you to set regulations, build kits, and add and edit user accounts.
