The protected folder is then hidden from any file opening window and cannot be viewed in Windows Explorer either. The program also changes the memory value of the path, so that no user can access its real contents, even if it detects the folder.
Encrypt and decrypt folders
Keep Out can also restore the folders to their original state, whenever you wish to access the files within. Once encrypted, a folder is displayed in the drop down menu in Keep Out’s interface. You may select the desired value from the list and click the opened padlock button to unlock the folder.
Keep Out features a double protection level: not only does it encrypt and hide the folders, but it is also locked with a password. This key is required to access the program’s interface and you have a limited number of tries before the application becomes blocked.
