🔧 How to Use IsoBuster (Step-by-Step)

✅ 1. Download and Install

• Get it from the official site: https://www.isobuster.com
• Install and launch the program.

💡 Note: The free version allows access to many features. Some advanced recovery options may require a license.

🔍 2. Select the Drive or Image

• In the left panel, you’ll see all connected drives and devices.
• You can also open a disk image (File > Open Image File) to browse ISO or BIN files.

🔄 3. Browse the File System

• IsoBuster shows sessions, tracks, and file systems detected on the media.
• You can explore different file system layers (like ISO9660, UDF, HFS+, etc.) to find your data.

💾 4. Recover or Extract Data

• Right-click on a file, folder, or file system and choose:
  • Extract Objects
  • Extract File
  • Extract RAW
• Choose a location to save the recovered files.

⚠️ 5. Dealing with Corrupted Media

• IsoBuster attempts to read sectors even from damaged discs or drives.
• It may report read errors, retries, or allow you to ignore bad sectors and continue.
• The software also offers sector-level analysis for advanced users.

🧠 Tips for Using IsoBuster

• Use the Tree View to inspect all detected sessions and tracks on multi-session discs.
• If a disc shows as empty in Windows, IsoBuster can often still see and recover data.
• For ISO file extraction, just open the ISO and extract files like you would from a zip archive.
• You can create an image of a failing drive for analysis: File > Create Image File.
