ICSviewer Description
ICSviewer is a feather-light and portable Windows application that you can use to open iCalendar files (.ics format) and view them in a more user-friendly manner, since the app shows information neatly organized in tables. It doesn’t integrate advanced options or configuration parameters, so it can be handled by anyone with ease.
No setup required
Since installation is not necessary, you can save the program files in any part of the disk and just click th executable to launch ICSviewer. Otherwise, you can save it to a pen drive to directly run it on any machine with minimum effort. More importantly, it doesn’t add new entries to the Windows registry.
Simple interface and options
The approachable interface consists of a large window with a clear-cut structure, where you can easily open .ics-formatted files to view a table with line numbers, start and end date and time, summary, description, and number of hours.
It is possible to filter entries by indicating the data range in a calendar, as well as combine any of the columns along with the preferred separator to export information to file. What’s more, you can copy entries to the Clipboard, and cut, paste or delete them. There are no other noteworthy options available here.
Evaluation and conclusion
There are no problems in our tests because ICSviewer didn’t freeze, crash or display error messages. Its impact on the overall performance of the computer was barely noticeable, since it required low CPU and RAM to function normally.
Although it’s not filled with rich features and customization preferences, ICSviewer delivers a fast and effective solution to converting iCalendar .ics files to table view format.
