DAVIS(R) HandySaw DS is an application designed to detect and extract different scenes from your movie clips, in order to save them on your computer as smaller and easier to handle files. The utility is able to differentiate between two separate scenes by employing two methods: optical and by shooting date. The optical method works by parsing the entire content and recognizing certain scene change ques, then saving the results on your system.
As for the second method, it takes advantage of the information written inside the video file by the camera used to shoot the movie, which records the exact time and date for every frame. This data is transferred to your computer when you copy the clips and you can obtain a perfect scene detection accuracy thanks to it.
Process files in batch mode and save the audio separately
In order to speed up the process, you can add multiple files at once to the extraction process.
