FinanceBase Description
FinanceBase is a transaction tracker tool designed to help you keep records about the financial activity of a medium-sized business. The program features a modular format which allows you to select the database that you want to use.
If have a business and need to record the transactions, quotes and tax activities, this tool allows you to handle all of them in a single interface. It also includes a module dedicated to daycare businesses which is able to store data about parents, children and attendance.
Having multiple modules enables the user to decide which one are suitable for a certain activity, reducing the purchase costs. They also enable you to clearly separate the records which need to be accessed by a certain user.
The interface allows you to work with multiple windows at the same time which can increase productivity but also confuse the beginners. The same applies to the button bar which occupies little space but provides no description or tooltip for the buttons.
Although the application includes a start-up guide and a very detailed manual, it can take some time to get used to the programs features. Be sure to check the help options from the File menu as they provide useful tips adapted for each module.
In our tests, FinanceBase required insignificant resources and responded quickly as we added transactions, accounts and quotes. An useful feature that can boost productivity is the support for keyboard shortcuts which can be reconfigured to easily access certain menu items or actions.
