EasyComic Description

For a few years comics and illustrations have been seeing increased popularity in audiences of all ages. From young to old everyone has, at some point, wanted to create their own comic drawing or illustration.

If you’ve come across that thought and haven’t found the right tool, then take a look at EasyComic. This user-friendly application enables you to create vector-based drawings using a fairly large set of tools.

The interface arrangement resembles that of more popular graphic editors but is more oriented in keeping things simple and practical. You have all your drawing tools on one side, the fine-adjustments on the other and in the middle, your workspace.

EasyComic provides you with the basic drawing tools such as straight line, curved line, polyline, circles, rectangles and text bubbles. Since the application allows you to create vector drawings you don’t really need other tools, except inspiration. Working with vector objects, you also get to add points and insert curve points, as well as cutoff and connect them.

As a drawing tends to get more complicated to handle you certainly don’t want to accidentally select and move objects. That’s why EasyComic enables you to not only group elements together but also to lock them in place making them unmovable. From the ability to group, comes another interesting and well thought out feature. Comics are mostly scenes that have one or two different elements between them and this is why EasyComic makes it possible to save any group as a template which you can use later.

You can store the created templates in predefined categories such as ‘Role’, ‘Prop’, ‘Bubble’, ‘Nature’, ‘Effect’ and ‘Scene’. To add a template, all you have to do is select it from the library and drag it into the workspace. To make them easier to handle, you can even place them in different project layers and arrange them in the order you prefer.

EasyComic is one of those applications that you open, instinctively find your way around the tools and start having fun with it while still being productive.
