Droplr Description
When you want to share a file with another user, the most convenient way is to attach it to an email message and send it. However, all email clients have restrictions regarding the size of their attachments, so you cannot send large files via email. And this is where Droplr can come in handy, as it enables you to share all files, regardless of their size.
Share images or videos of your screen
It needs to be mentioned from the beginning that you need to create a (free) online Droplr account so as to be able to use the utility.
The application integrates within the context menu of Windows Explorer so you can simply right-click a file and upload it to your Droplr account with ease. It can also be integrated with Microsoft Outlook. Alternatively, you can drag and drop an item over the dedicated drop zone created by the software solution. Different types of files can be uploaded, such as photos and videos, and batch uploading is supported, so Droplr can upload multiple selected items at once.
Generates shortened links that can be shared with others
Once the uploading process is complete, the sharing tool generates a short URL that you can send to other users via email, chat or SMS, so they can view contents. Furthermore, you can create notes or capture desktop snapshots without needing to open third-party apps, and you can also upload the contents of your clipboard with a single mouse click. After the files have been downloaded by the other users, you can easily remove them from Droplr to avoid getting too many documents and ending up with a crowded account.
Intuitive and practical file sharing app
All in all, Droplr can be used whenever you want to quickly share many large files with your buddies and email simply won’t do. It’s available for Windows and Mac. However, you can also use the Droplr web interface if you want to explore additional options, such as team administration, self-hosting, third-party integrations, password protection, tags, or shared collections.
