DesignCAD 3D Max is a professional software application designed to help users create 2D or 3D images, models, and animations.
The user interface may seem a bit overwhelming at a first glance, but this is only because the program comes packed with many dedicated parameters.
The tool offers support for the following file formats: DCD, DC, DWG, DXF, JPG, BMP, TGA, PCX, PNG, WPG, EPS, and others.
DesignCAD 3D Max gives you the possibility to undo or redo your actions, perform basic editing operations (cut, copy, paste, delete), and use an eraser.
What’s more, you can use a ruler for visually estimating the size of the drawing objects, set points for determining the location of a line or curve, diameter of a circle, or radius of an arc, as well as draw various 2D objects, such as arcs and partial ellipses, full and partial circles, flat surfaces, and polygons.
When it comes to designing 3D objects, you are allowed to specify the coordinates of the working pane, change the angle or orientation for viewing the model, create solid objects (e.g. box, sphere, cylinder, cone, tube, pyramid, ellipsoid), and set up the surface parameters.
Additionally, you can perform various editing operations with 3D solid objects, such as merging, intersecting, slicing, isolating the common volume between two solids, and others.
DesignCAD 3D Max lets you select between various predefined materials, configure the shade and light options, produce animated AVI files, perform commands only on the selected objects or the entire drawing, change the properties of an object (e.g. colors, layers, line styles), and calculate the distance between objects.
Other important features worth mentioning are represented by the possibility to record macros, and print or export the generated project to DWG, DXF, IGES, RIB, VRML, WPG, HPGL, or PDF file format.
