Cyotek Palette Editor Description

Cyotek Palette Editor provides the perfect environment for managing color palettes. End users will be able to create such files from scratch or edit existing ones by importing data from formats like ACO (Adobe Photoshop Color Swatch), GPL (GIMP) and PAL (JASC).

Artists and web designers can make the most of this application, as it delivers a highly interactive way of storing and exporting palettes with the least of efforts. Unlike its competition, it allows users to work with external applications that can be called from within its main window.

Cyotek Palette Editor sports a pleasant and intuitive appearance; most of the main GUI is dedicated to the palette itself, while the menus located in the upper side are home to the rich feature set encased in the application.

A palette can be created from scratch, imported from external files or generated from a local image, following which it can be edited further more using RGB / HSL models. Moreover, colors from the desktop can be brought into the editing area, with the aid of the dedicated selector.

You can also use it for batch scenarios, via the command line client, which will ease the process of managing and editing multiple palettes at the same time. Other options allow you to resize or sort the palette (by brightness, hue or value), as well as to remove duplicate colors. You can also copy RGB / HSL color codes to the clipboard, when required.

All in all, Cyotek Palette Editor makes for a reliable color and palette manager. The ease of use, combined with the rich support for file formats are strong arguments that work in its favor.
