Cookie AutoDelete is a browser extension available for Chrome and Firefox, which can automatically delete cookies from all visited pages while you enjoy surfing the web. It also has a manual mode for letting you choose the exact moment for clearing cookies from all pages or the current domain only. Also, the tool supports whitelists that can be used for keeping cookies stored on specific websites you frequently visit.

Cookies represent a mechanism that most websites rely on for remembering important information about your activity on their domains, such as the number of items put in the shopping cart or pages visited in the past. Although session cookies are harmless, it’s understandable why some users are irritated by long-term, tracking cookies which send personalized marketing offers, for example.
What Cookie AutoDelete does is identify the exact files saved on your computer as cookie footprints and eliminates them in order to protect your privacy and ensure a private browsing experience. After installing the Chrome version from the Chrome Web Store, the tool gets launched but doesn’t automatically starts clearing cookies, waiting for your command instead. This can be done by enabling “Active Mode”.

Cookies not immediately deleted shouldn’t be a concern because the addon has a delay system that helps maintain lower memory usage and prevent Chrome from hanging or crashing. The default delay time is set to minimum by default (1 minute) and can be increased from the settings panel.
If you take a look at the icon, you can find out the number of cookies recorded by the tool for the current domain. After reaching the main menu, you can ask the tool the clean up all cookies with one click or to delete only those associated with the current domain. Shortly after, Cookie AutoDelete displays a notification message on the lower-right corner of Chrome to let you know the URLs of the cleared cookies. This info is also shown in the main menu.
