ClearProg is a lightweight application which allows you to easily delete traces and junk data from your web browsers and other programs.
Keep your computer clean by deleting junk files
The interface of the software is based on a standard window in which you can access cleaning options for Internet Explorer, Opera, Firefox, Windows, Microsoft Office programs, as well as other applications.
So, you can delete cookies, temporary Internet files, history, typed URLs, autocomplete entries in web forms, the index.dat file on reboot and the download list.
But ClearProg can also look into the Recycle Bin, the Windows temporary folder, open/save filelist, as well as Media Player, Microsoft Paint, OpenOffice, Google Toolbar, WinZip and WordPad filelist.
Preview files before removing them
So, you can select all items, preview the results and initiate the cleaning process. Plus, you can save settings and export them to an INI file, save the window position, disable delete options and install shortcuts.
On top of that, you can change the interface language, enable ClearProg to automatically turn off the computer after cleaning, select the cleaning method (normal, to Recycle Bin or secured), write an error log file, add your own folder for cleaning, and more.
The simple-to-use program takes up a very small amount of system resources (which can be barely noticed), quickly finishes a clean task, has a very good response time and didn’t freeze or crash during our tests.
Reliable and easy-to-use application
Unfortunately, there is no help file available and the interface could use some major improvements. Other than that, we recommend ClearProg to all users, especially to the ones who prefer a straightforward application.
