CCCalc is one of the many apps out there that provides simple options, accessible even for those less experienced with computers, to make basic calculations, like addition, subtract, or square root.
It’s wrapped in a clean and user-friendly layout divided into a large paper-like editor, while the buttons are located at the bottom of the windows, neatly structured. The values should be entered like you would normally do, by typing the number and selecting the desired operation.
