CAD-KAS DXF distance sorter is a simple to use application that enables you to reconfigure DXF files, especially created for the board cutting machine. The software enables you to rearrange the trajectory, starting points and the order of the cutter’s movements. This way, elements that are close together can be processed consecutively.
Reliable tool for re-configuring DXF files
The DXF is a common format in which you can store designs and contours, for the board cutter software. These files can also contain information regarding the order in which order should the elements be processed, the trajectory, direction and starting point. CAD-KAS DXF distance sorter can automatically review a DXF file and recalculate the movement, in order to obtain the most suitable trajectory.
The software can help you optimize the DXF files, so that they can be processed in the shortest time, with the smallest possible amount of resources. For example, elements that are close together can be cut consecutively, in order to save time and power.
Set starting points and direction of cutting
CAD-KAS DXF distance sorter allows you to easily set the X, Y and Z coordinates, for both 2D and 3D cutting/engraving. It can detect starting and ending points, then assign numbers that mark the order in which the lines/figures should be processed.
The distance can be calculated so that it is shortest way from the first to the last piece, the shortest to the ‘Zero Point’ or to the left margin. The software allows you to select one of these options alternatively. The software can instantly reconfigure the file as you load it, but you can only view or adjust the settings after you save the output file. Thus, any settings you make in one session are applied to the next file you load.
