Bluesky Frame Rate Converter Description

Bluesky Frame Rate Converter is a lightweight application that enables you to configure and register a DirectShow filter capable of converting video frame rate using your GPU.

It is compatible with AMD Fluid Motion Video, and it offers support for multiple GPU models, including Radeon R9/R7 Series, Radeon HD 7000 Series and Kaveri or newer APUs. Additionally, it offers support for Intel Haswell and later iGPUs, but only when runing on Windows 7.

The DirectShow filter can convert 24p to 60p or 30p to 60p by interpolating frames, and it supports variable frame rate.

Once the program has been installed, you can configure the filter and register or unregister it at any time. Should you wish to revert to the default settings, you can also delete the configuration file.

First of all, you need to select the device you wish to use for performing the frame rate conversion. Should multiple GPUs be available, you can choose the right one from a drop-down menu.

Next, the application lets you choose between two AFM modes, but you also have the option of leaving the setting to “Auto”.

When it comes to the Rate Conversion settings, you can check the 24p or 30p options, and you can also specify if the application should skip the rate check when connecting.

Lastly, in the Performance section, you can enable support for the DXVA decoder, as well as activate Zero-copy mode.

After completing the configurations, you can register the DirectShow filter and then select it in your preferred video player. Instructions are provided for performing this operation in Media Player Classic and PotPlayer.
