ApexSQL Trigger allows you to automate data auditing and reporting functions into client applications, also being capable of tracking changes for SQL databases. You may easily view the modifications made, as well as determine the user who operated them and the moment they were made.
Audit the selected tables from SQL databases
ApexSQL Trigger requires that you open a SQL database, in order to view the tables and data contained within. It supports a large variety of database files, created with any edition of Microsoft SQL Server and allows you to view the data stored within.
The software allows you to audit changes, updates, additions or data removal, as well as determine the date when they were made or who made them. You can automate the data audit and even schedule unattended report generating, via the SQL script.
Moreover, you can identify unauthorized changes or create client reports regarding the modifications. You can also highlight specific operations, based on column filters that you can create, for user, date, object or type.
Create separate triggers for several segments of the schema
ApexSQL Trigger allows you to create a multitude of automation functions, with separate subjects. You need to select at least one table and at least one column from within it, in order to perform the audit. The scripts are created as SQL scripts, which you can view in separate windows, highlight syntax or correct misspelling.
The triggers may be created for one or several columns/tables and indicate one type of change or more. The script can be exported to a .SQL file, so you can run it at a later time.
Load and customize trigger templates
ApexSQL Trigger uses a series of templates for quickly creating triggers, but you may easily make the desired modifications in the script and customize them. Moreover, the software is capable of creating a series of reports on global situation, data aggregation or on particular schema changes.
