ApexSQL Decrypt Description

ApexSQL Decrypt is designed to provide access to encrypted SQL Server database objects and allow you to preview the original DDL script. The application can connect to multiple SQL Server instances, allowing instant filtering of encrypted objects and providing a built-in decryption wizard.

Displays encrypted objects in your SQL Server database

The first thing you need to do is to connect to SQL Server, a procedure that only requires you to choose the desired server instance and select the authentication method.

ApexSQL Decrypt targets any type of database object, be it a procedure, a DDL or a DML trigger, a function, or a view. In fact, it enables you to filter and group the displayed data by the object type or by the encryption state. Additionally, you can load various other object filters.

A decryption wizard to help you throughout the entire procedure

You can start object decryption either from the context menu or from the dedicated option in the ribbon toolbar. ApexSQL Decrypt features a built-in decryption wizard that can generate a decryption script for all the selected objects or multiple scripts, one for each object. Alternatively, you can configure it to generate an executable file from the ‘Options’ window.

The original DDL script of the procedures, triggers, functions, or views can be previewed before proceeding, and so can the changes that will be applied once the decryption is complete.

A straightforward decryption solution for SQL Server

ApexSQL Decrypt is a handy solution for decrypting objects in an SQL Server database. Not only that it deploys a standalone application with an integrated wizard, but it can also be called from within SQL Server Management Studio, thanks to a simple addin. On top of that, it is intuitive so it should not pose any usage difficulty to anyone.
