The interface of the software application is quite easy to understand and navigate through, thanks to a clear-cut window with a comfortable look. Adding ebooks to the library is done via the file browser or drag-and-drop method.
These can be organized into bookshelves which are basically different categories. Adobe contains several presets that cannot be modified, while also letting users create new ones with custom names, edit and remove them at any time, in order to personalize book collections.
As for the library viewing mode, uses can toggle between thumbnail and list. While reading a book it is possible to maximize the window to fit the entire screen, search for particular words in the text, increase or decrease the font size to read at a more comfortable level, add notes, as well as set bookmarks to quickly jump to a particular page. There were no kind of issues in our tests, since Adobe Digital Editions did not hang, crash or pop up error messages. It has minimal impact on computer performance, so it does not hog system resources. On the other hand, it does not feature more advanced settings, such as multiple skins for the interface. Nevertheless, the app is convenient, enabling any kind of users to read their favorite eBooks on the screen, as long as they have EPUB or PDF file extensions.
