Actual Booster Description
Designed as a system optimization utility, Actual Booster allocates PC resources to the currently running applications. This is a simple-to-use program that lets you change the process priority from the system tray area.
Simple setup and systray accessibility
Installing this software tool should be a fast and easy job that doesn’t require special attention, thanks to the fact that it contains only familiar options.
Once launched, it creates an icon in the taskbar notifications area and sits there comfortably without interrupting your regular PC activity when it’s not being used. The memory allocation is enabled by default.
Seamlessly change the process priority
By opening the right-click menu of the icon, you can bring up up the settings panel where you can remap two hotkeys for quickly showing this window and for exiting Actual Booster, respectively.
The process priority can be set to idle, below normal, normal, above normal, high, or real-time, depending on your current preferences. Unfortunately, the tool doesn’t implement an option that allows you to set up a hotkey for rapidly circling through the process priority levels.
Evaluation and conclusion
Apart from the fact that you can ask the app to run at every Windows startup until further notice, as well as disable it without exiting, there are no other notable settings available. More experienced users might be put off by the lack of in-depth customization preferences.
However, Actual Booster is made as a straightforward optimizer for all user levels. Unsurprisingly, it had minimal impact on computer performance throughout our evaluation, using low CPU and RAM. Although it hasn’t been updated for a long time, it functions normally on newer Windows editions.
