Active@ Disk Image Lite Description

Active@ Disk Image Lite is a stripped-down edition of the Active@ Disk Image Professional, providing a reduced set of options to create image disks and manage partitions. However, just like its Professional counterpart, this application can generate exact copies of your partitions, providing compatibility with HDDs, SSDs, USB drives, DVD and Blu-ray discs.

Create a backup of a partition using a simple wizard

The purpose of such an application is to deliver a simple means of creating backups of not only important files, but entire partitions. Backup images can be then easily restored to avoid data loss in case of an unfortunate event.

To make it easier to backup your data, Active@ Disk Image Lite features built-in wizard that are ready to assist you throughout the entire operation, from selecting the partition to backup to verifying the disk image.

Backup partitions to a disk, a local, or a network location

The resulting backup file ca be saved either to a local or a network drive of your choice, or to a CD, or a DVD. You get to assign a custom name to the image and configure the compression mode. Normal compression mode is recommended, as it is a more balanced choice with respect to both the compression rate and the backup time.

If the output location cannot host the generated disk image due to lack of storage space, you can configure Active@ Disk Image Lite to split the image into separate chunks of data of a given size.

For security purposes, Active@ Disk Image Lite can assign a password to your disk image and encrypt its contents.

Backup your partitions and create easy-to-manage disk images

Whether you want to upgrade your PC, duplicate the contents of a disk or simply backup data, Active@ Disk Image Lite can be of help. Its wizards assist you in creating the disk image step-by-step, transforming the entire operation into a matter of pressing a few ‘Next’ buttons.
