Cobalt Description
Cobalt is a professional software application that comes packed with a wide range of tools for helping users design 2D and 3D drawings.
It sports a clean and intuitive layout that gives users the possibility to import data from a wide range of file formats, namely VLM, DWG, DXF, STP, FAC, COB, 3DM, STL, SPL, DAT, and others. The generated projects can be exported to the same file formats as the aforementioned ones.
The application enables users to zoom in or out of the working environment, customize the pen in terms of colour, style, weight, and pattern, apply hatching operations for filling different areas, insert arrows, as well as embed text message and change the font, font style, and size.
What’s more, you can select from various objects, insert construction lines, and change the layout of the working environment by selecting a colour or adding an image
Other important features worth mentioning are represented by the possibility to perform conversation operations between various file formats, , make file associations, set up the grid settings, and select the measurement unit.
During our testing we have noticed that Cobalt offers good image quality and no errors showed up throughout the entire process. It doesn’t eat up a lot of memory and CPU, so it doesn’t burden the overall performance of the computer.
To sum it up, Cobalt bundles useful feature for helping you sketch 2D and 3D drawings, but the GUI is not very intuitive so rookies may spend some to trying to configure the dedicated parameters
