WinTopo Description
WinTopo is a lightweight Windows application designed to help users personalize and optimize their images using several editing tools.
It boasts a clean and straightforward layout that allows you to add files to the list with the following file formats: BMP, TIF, GIF, JPG, or PNG. The edited photos can be saved to the same file formats as the aforementioned ones.
Plus, WinTopo lets users import vector graphics from various file formats (e.g. SHP, ARC, WTX), zoom in or out of the current photo, crop images, use an eraser, as well as perform thinning operations in order to transform a digital image into a simplified equivalent photo.
What’s more, the program comes packed with several dedicated tools built specifically for giving you a hand when it comes to edge detection operations (for identifying discontinuities in digital images), and photo vectorization.
Other important features worth mentioning are represented by the possibility to undo your actions, change the size of the photos, rotate the items to different angles, as well as alter the levels of brightness, gamma, and contrast.
Last but not least, you can print the edited photos or copy them to the Clipboard, and apply special effects (greyscale).
During our testing we have noticed that the program offers very good image quality, and no errors showed up throughout the entire process. It leaves a minimal footprint on system resources, so the overall performance of the computer is not hampered.
