EasySetup Description
EasySetup is an easy-to-use program that allows you to create setup packs for your applications. It can be handled even by novices.
The app’s GUI is based on a standard window and intuitive layout. You can start a new project by writing the name of the application, version and date.
EasySetup can also generate a Globally Unique Identifier (GUID). Author/homepage details may be filled in as well, regarding the author name, email address and URL.
Importing files for processing is done with the help of the folder view only, since the ‘drag and drop’ method is not supported. Optionally, you can insert a license and Readme file.
Additionally, you can attach multiple language packs, customize the installation procedure with a Bitmap and header icon, as well as stop EasySetup from overwriting files with a user-defined extension. Furthermore, you can create StartMenu and Desktop shortcuts, and set your application to automatically start after installation.
Advanced users can assign special or custom tasks – install data files in a separate directory, reboot the computer or execute a script after installation, create the setup without an uninstaller, and so on.
The program requires a small amount of CPU and system memory, has a good response time and quickly build a setup pack. We have not come across any issues during our evaluation; EasySetup did not freeze, crash or pop up error dialogs. All in all, the app provides some essential tools for generating installation packages; it can be handled by users of any level of experience. No recent updates have been made.
