JdC Description

It can be difficult to keep track of your daily school schedule when you have a lot of other things on your mind, but there are a number of software solutions out there that can help you organize your activities more efficiently.

JdC is a lightweight program that can help you digitize your schedule in order to view the information you need more easily in the future. Additionally, it allows you to export data to various formats.

Cumbersome data entry process that needs to be reworked

In order to add all your courses, teachers and classrooms to the database, you need to navigate to the Parameters menu and select the Add option each time. A similar operation has to be performed when adding an item to your schedule.

Needless, to say, this system is far from intuitive, and you will likely waste a lot of time inserting data if using this application on a regular basis.

Print daily or weekly class schedules

Each week is divided into six days, and each day into ten periods. Moreover, you can switch between up to five week types by clicking the colored buttons displayed in the toolbar.

Once you have added all the information that needs to be organized, you can export the daily schedule to a text file or view it in a web browser, as well as print a weekly grid.

Educators can take advantage of this program too, as the Teacher Mode replaces the Teacher parameter with the Class parameter, but it does not seem to be possible to revert the application to its original state.

Features an outdated user interface

When it comes to the program’s UI, it must be noted that it has a rather unintuitive layout, and it is noticeably out of date.

Overall, JdC is a relatively simple application that can help students and teachers organize their class schedules. It needs to be improved in a number of respects, however, as it is quite difficult to use in its current state.
