Ferro Backup System Description
Ferro Backup System is a powerful application that allows you to generate safety data backups on several computers in a network. The data duplicates can all be saved on a network server, transferred via secure TCP/IP connection.
Server-side and client components
Ferro Backup System comes with two separate components, designed to be installed on the backup server and the client computers, respectively. Install the server component, FSB Server, on the station you are going to use general storage for the backups created by all the PCs in the network.
FSB Worker, the client application, must be installed on each computer in the network that you wish to backup. You can configure the details on each computer, such as the tasks you wish to run, as well as their schedule. The program can run full system backups of differential tasks.
Desktop client and browser management
Once installed Ferro Backup System can be configured from the desktop console, a simple to use, intuitive interface program. Alternatively, you can open the Ferro Backup System management space in the default browser and control the connected workstations, the tasks, backups, restore points and available space.
As with most backup software, Ferro Backup System allows you to select the drive or folders you wish to duplicate, create file masks or filters, specify the destination and the type of backup. You can perform full/differential backups that are activated on demand or according to a schedule.
Monitor backup activities
Ferro Backup System can help you view the activity log and mark each action according to its result: successful, error or warning. Each event is displayed on a separate row, along with the workstation on which it was performed (including the server), the time, the name of the task and a short description. Moreover, you can encrypt each backup using 256-bit Rijndael, Serpent, Twofish algorithms. All in all, the program is a reliable backup/restoring tool that can be used for networks at home or work.
